      Frequently Asked Questions

Why domain transfer is made through GoldenName and why it makes deal more secure?
www.GoldenName.com(or www.4.cn) is independent escrow company from both sides and has good reputation.
GoldenName will secure payment from Buyer and hold it at escrow account untill domain name is successfully transferred to new owner. You will have opportunity to review transfer and check everything out before funds will be sent to Seller, thus your risks are extremely low.
How long will it take to complete domain transfer from current owner?
As soon as you accept escrow transaction and send payment to GoldenName.com/4.cn, it will take from 1 to 3 days, depending on your payment method. However, as soon your payment is secured by GoldenName.com/4.cn, we will transfer domain name to you within 1~2 business days.
Why do you have non fixed price? Will my lower offer be reviewed?
Generally, yes. Price is non fixed and if you present lower offer, we'll confirmation.
Will I receive full and sole control over the domain name in the end of the transaction?
Yes, you will. You and only you will be able to change administrative, technical , billing contacts, nameservers. In most cases you will be able to change the owner of the domain online without additional charge (subject to Registrar's rules). No third party will have control over your domain. You will also be able to transfer domain to different Registrar.
How do you pass control over the domain name to me?
In most cases we will send you authentication information along with the instructions how to modify the domain name record. Please change the password/registry key as soon as you can - this will ensure that you are the only person entitled to make changes to the domain.
How soon will I be able to use the domain name for e-mail, web site etc.?
First you will have to set up nameservers for this domain. Typically it can be done by purchasing web/e-mail hosting services from the hosting provider. Your hosting provider will instruct you what nameservers to use to make it all working. Then you must "redelegate" the domain name, i. e. change its nameservers. In about 24 hours after that your domain must be working for you.
